The most important thing you can have with your lawyer is good communication.

Because of the diverse needs of his clients, Mr. Oxenhandler has gained experience in a wide-range of legal specialties including areas like divorce, child custody, trusts, wills and criminal law. “I have the experience necessary to see through the static and find a clear path and a plan to help my clients succeed.”
At Oxenhandler Law, we understand clients need feedback. Client/attorney communication is a top priority. We take time every day to return phone calls and keep clients updated on the status of their case.
From Josh Oxenhandler’s clients:
“Josh has everything you need in an attorney and much more than that – he brings a level of empathy and consideration to his professional activities that I associate with his active community involvement and leadership in challenging causes. Josh was by right by our side through the most difficult times a family can face.”
“Josh Oxenhandler and his entire staff are true professionals but they are also great to work with. They are open, honest, helpful people who truly care about their clients.”
Mr. Oxenhandler is equally comfortable at the settlement table and at the trial bench. Knowing how to prepare to succeed at trial, but also working to find settlement, comes from lots of experience and success at both.
“I always provide a free initial consultation. I am happy to sit down with you and discuss your case. If I feel there is an attorney better suited for your needs, I won’t take your case. I understand that, although complex issues arise with every client I represent, there are things common to all legal representation: the ability to listen, the ability to speak about difficult things and the ability to tell the truth.”
In addition to his busy law practice, Josh spends significant time giving back to the Columbia, MO community. He has served on numerous boards and committees for various not-for-profit corporations in and around the Columbia, MO area.
“Soon after I began my legal career, I served on the Board of Directors for Phoenix Programs, a mental health/addiction counseling center here in Columbia, Missouri. Currently, I help to run The True/False Film Fest and serve as their General Counsel.”
“Growing up around the legal community because of my father’s job, I saw the impact that one person could make in the lives of others. Now that I have the chance to do this for a living, I have found it to be as rewarding and as challenging as I had imagined.”
